DELIVERING THE PLAN

The Plan is the Garnock Valley’s “to-do” list for the next 5-10 years. It’s ambitious, but everything is possible. Some things may not seem that way at the moment, but circumstances may change and resources can appear.

Making it happen will take collaborative effort across the public, private and community sectors, with everyone working together for common purpose. You can read more about that in chapter 16 of the Plan.

To get things started, the community groups who led preparation of the Plan (listed at the foot of the page) have formed a new group to support the Plan’s delivery. Membership is open to community organisations operating in or serving the Garnock Valley, as explained in the group’s Terms of Reference.

The group’s remit, explained in the Terms of Reference, is to champion implementation of the Plan across the Garnock Valley by the public, private and community sectors.  Success will only come if everyone plays their part.

The group normally meets once a month, with occasional additional meetings (such as liaison meetings with North Ayrshire Council). Summary notes of meetings can be downloaded below.

If your organisation would like to be involved, please get in touch. Contact details are at the very bottom of this page.
