In 2025, communities across the Garnock Valley concluded a 2 year process of producing a community-led regeneration Plan.
The completed Plan is our plan, with our priorities, for our Garnock Valley. It contains Calls to Action by the community, public and private sectors for Beith, Dalry and Kilbirnie, plus the villages of Barrmill, Burnhouse, Gateside, Glengarnock, Longbar and surrounding countryside.
The Plan was registered by North Ayrshire Council in October 2025 as a Local Place Plan to guide future development.
In the same week the Plan picked up a prestigious national award in recognition of its trailblazing ‘Next Generation Regeneration’ approach.
We’re now working hard to implement what’s in the Plan.
