During 2024 and 2025, hundreds of people said what they wanted the Garnock Valley to be like in the future. You can see what everyone suggested on the homepage.

Everyone’s ideas were then gathered together into a draft Plan, which was published for consultation in June 2025. The aim was to check if the Plan fitted the bill - and if not, to work out how to change it.

Consultation on the draft plan closed on 20 July 2025. You can still see the draft Plan below, but bear in mind that it has now been superseded.

The final Plan can be seen here, together with a consultation report which contains people’s comments on the draft Plan and explains how they influenced the final Plan.
