During 2024 and 2025, hundreds of people said what they wanted the Garnock Valley to be like in the future. You can see what everyone suggested on the homepage.

Everyone’s ideas were then gathered together into a draft Plan, which was published for consultation in June 2025. The aim was to check if the Plan fitted the bill - and if not, to work out how to change it.

Consultation on the draft plan closed on 20 July 2025. We are now finalising the Plan in response to the comments received, before it is signed off by local Community Councils, other community organisations and North Ayrshire Council - and we move onto the exciting work of making it happen!

You can still see the draft Plan below, but bear in mind that it is now being updated. We will share the comments received on the draft Plan and publish the final Plan later in the summer.
